20010728 - Drawbridge in Amsterdam - June 28, 2001

P6270028 If you walk along a canal, you can be sure you'll find a drawbridge P6280010 When it opens up, it's like a disaster. A massive peace of concreat moves from horizontal to vertical with it's all attachments; poles, rails, road and pavemet. P6280011 People are accustomed to this phenomen. They are waiting patiently to get back into business hopefully less than 10 minutes P6280012 The ship floats away...
P6280014 ...and the bridge starts to move back to it's resting position... P6280015 ...slowly but surely... P6280016 ...all the elements are back to business... P6280017 ...and when this huge peace of concreat is back to the original position...
P6280018 ...life is the same az it was 10 minutes ago. P6280020 And the ship approaches the next bridge. P6280021 And the story starts all over again... P6280022 The bridge opens up...
P6280024 ...completely... P6280025 ...let's the ship to float away... P6280026 ...returns to it's original position... P6280027 ...and sometimes opens up again 10 minutes later.
